Monico's CDL Gateway PLUS Offers Innovative Remote Diagnosis and Monitoring Capabilities

Houston, TX (PRWEB) May 30, 2008 -- The CDL Gateway PLUS?, Monico's newest engine communication product, gives users the capability to monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot industrial engines, generators, compressors and other equipment- even if those monitoring are halfway around the world when the engine malfunctions. Users with a broadband connection or cellular coverage can receive text messages or emails via the Internet as soon as difficulties arise. Utilizing a color touch screen through Internet Explorer, users can then access the PLUS' Virtual HMI Web Server to view the condition of a generator. This system proves time- and cost-effective because the diagnosis can be made remotely from the detailed views of the generators the PLUS offers. The PLUS even makes it possible to remotely start and stop generators if desired.

The CDL Gateway PLUS? offers several enhancements on Monico's previous CDL Gateway?. Like its predecessor, the CDL Gateway PLUS? remains user-friendly and retains popular features like innovative pre-configured mapping for all potential parameters. This means that there is virtually no setup involved. The mapping allows the integrator to immediately determine the host device's programming. The CDL Gateway PLUS? also lets users engage in two-way communication with popular Programmable Logic Controller manufacturers like Siemens, Allen Bradley, and GE Fanuc.

Additionally, the PLUS' onboard, two-gigabyte flash card allows for real-time data logging, which lets customers create multiple logging profiles for up to 200 days of data. The capability for multiple logging profiles gives users flexibility in how frequently they collect and log their data. High frequency data point logging has historically been a challenge through traditional SCADA systems, which prevents effective diagnoses of malfunctions. The real-time data logging feature makes problems more easily identifiable and, therefore, more quickly solved. Multiple logging profiles also help maximize the flash drive's storage space. The files are saved in CSV format that is easily imported into Excel.

Located in Spring, Texas, Monico specializes in industrial engine communication and remote monitoring. For twenty years, Monico has delivered communications solutions to companies spanning the globe, from Canada to Venezuela.
